878 – STAINLESS STEEL BIOMEDICAL SHARPS DISPOSAL
Site Location: The 878 is perfect for health care settings, as well as, commercial settings such as; Hospitals, Long Term Care Facilities, Doctor’s and Dentist’s Offices, Schools/Universities, Office Buildings, Airports, and Retail Locations.
Features: This heavy duty disposal is front loading for easy service and maintenance. It has a heavy duty vandal resistant design to ensure medical waste is safely protected. The radius and bevelled corners, along with screened on graphics in English, French, and Spanish, provide a clean professional look. The top of the disposal features a steel recessed tube inlet to prevent unauthorized access. The 878 comes complete with a standard 4 litre (4.23 qt) plastic disposable sharps container (5.5″L x 5.5″D x 12″H). These internal containers can be purchased in cases of 4 units from Frost by using code 878-500. Please consult local guidelines for proper discarding of disposable internal containers. Suitable for discarding of: needles, syringes, blades, pins, gauze, and cotton balls. The internal containers are designed and certified to exceed penetration requirements for all applicable international standards. FDA #9613648. Materials: Coverall door is 18 gauge type 304 stainless steel with brushed finish. Rear mounting plate is heavy duty 14 gauge powder coated steel.

Loading Instructions: Place internal plastic container’s mouth into the bottom of the inlet tube and slide the base of the container onto the bottom of the holder. Please ensure the lid is to either side of the plastic disposable container to ensure the door closes properly.

Installation: For unrestricted access, bottom of unit to floor must not exceed 48″ (121.9).
Maintenance: Normal preventative maintenance and cleaning will keep Frost products functioning properly and may extend normal product life. Products should be wiped down with a damp soft cloth periodically. Approved stainless steel cleaner may be used to clean scuffs or fingerprints on stainless surfaces. Do not use harsh detergents or chemical cleaners. Maintenance staff should periodically inspect internal container’s fullness based on site usage. If it has reached capacity, then remove and dispose of according to local guidelines. Replace with unused internal container (code 878-500).
Warranty: Frost Products Ltd warrants that if any Frost product or Frost product part proves to be defective within 12 months from the date of shipment from the factory it will be repaired or replaced without any charge when authorized. Frost warranty does not cover damaged product due to neglect or mishandling. Frost warranty does not cover installation or removal costs. Discolouration to stainless steel parts resulting from exposure to harsh environmental and/or chemicals are not considered to be defects in workmanship or material and are not covered under warranty.
